Today I ordered two shredded beef taco’s with a bean and cheese enchilada, a peach daquari. It was delivered with its normal speed during the lunch hour.
Tony the owner of this establishment makes the rounds every day. He is the typical small place owner making personal connections with his patrons.
Nevermind that he is the only “mexican” establishment that serves traditional ‘americanized’ fare in a safe location in Ogden City.
I am always greeted with hospitality and I always end up with the same waitress.
I was sitting towards the back 1/3 of the place, towards the end of the meal when, two ‘traditional’ blonde gals came in and set down. Now, this is in the business district (if you will for Ogden) and you would think that they were professionals from the local county office, courthouse and or federal building.
However, you would have thought you would have been at a sailor convection called ‘tailhook’ for women by their language. “I never met a man I couldn’t seduce.” My eyes about bugged out of their sockets. Not that I am a prude or anything – however – come to find out that she started talking to her friend at the table about her husband and how much she loved him. And no – the man she was talking about was not her husband in the latter part of this paragraph.
Now, normally I would not submit that a patrons behavior is tied to the owner. However, I lost alot of respect for the establishment when the owner came out and played kissy face with the friend at the table (female). Then it was ‘Sh-t’ this and ‘f–k’ that. A constant bombardment of profanity and suck face that offended a good chunk of people.
While it’s his restaurante and he can do what he may, with in the constrains of the law. I am amazed that he would do it – in the lunch crowd time. Blows me away…
It will be a while until I return to this place. I would never want to subject my wife and daughter to this crap. Not that they couldn’t take it… its just should they even have to put up with such rude behavior? I think not.
