What can I say about Stella Grill that the food doesn’t already say for it?  Amazing.

I work pretty close to 9th East in SLC and on my random trips out to get a bite to eat – or just to get out of the office for a nice drive.  I would pass by Stella’s and say to myself, “I am going to have to try this place”.

Now, Stella is apart of a trio of restaurants – aka small micro restaurants dealing with a particular neighborhood.  This is a old service station type feel – with many garage door type doors to the outside – so ‘if they wished’ they could open most of the place to the outside and give it an in-door / out-door vibe.

The location has been a couple of types of restaurants.  However, this one seems to be very popular with the lunch crowd.  Barry from this blog has gone there for dinner and says the food on the dinner menu is fantastic as well.

Food can be had for a moderate price – Lunch can cost you about $10.  So, its not fast food – but you will appreciate the difference.  The desserts are amazing.  The Pecan Bourbon Pie – well – lets just say – “I HATE PECAN PIE” and I LOVE THIS ONE!

The service is very good.  I wouldn’t say great as sometimes during lunch they can get a little under the gun – however, their effort is there – so all said out of 10 points I give them a 7.5.
